Topical sinonasal irrigations

Pulmicort

• • Add 1 respule (0.5 mg/2 ml) into a 240 ml normal saline bottle

  • Irrigate with 120 ml in each nasal cavity twice daily, total of 2 respules/day

Bactroban

• • Add 1/3 of a 22 gram Bactroban ointment tube into a 1 L normal saline bottle

  • Mix for 5 minutes

  • Irrigate with 60 ml each nasal cavity twice daily 

Betadine 

• • Add 10 ml Betadine solution into  a 1 L normal saline bottle

  • Irrigate with 60 ml each nasal cavity twice daily 

Baby shampoo

• • Add 10 ml Johnson's baby shampoo into  a 1 L normal saline bottle

  • Irrigate with 60 ml each nasal cavity twice daily 

Gentamycin 

• • Add 1 vial (80 mg/4 ml) into  a 1 L normal saline bottle

  • Irrigate with 60 ml each nasal cavity twice daily
