Cutaneous Malignancy
2.2.1 Name the major skin carcinogens that can initiate precancerous growth.
2.2.2 What conditions predispose to cutaneous malignancy (xeroderma pigmentosa, basal cell nevus syndrome, actinic keratosis, nevus sebaceous to name a few!)? Tell us what patients are particularly at risk for developing cutaneous malignancies.
2.2.3 Discuss tumors that mimic SCCA (keratoacanthoma, pseudoepitheliomatous hyperplasia, and desmoplastic melanoma).
2.2.4 What cells do BCCA arise from? SCCA?
2.2.5 Copy and prepare to discuss the Fitzpatrick classification of skin types.
2.2.6 What are Bowen’s disease? Marjolin’s ulcer? Verrucous carcinoma?
2.2.7 List the different types of BCCA; microscopic and clinical distinctions?
